

In 1964, Big Rog graduated from Central High School in Columbus, Ohio. He then went on to work at White Farm Equipment and eventually retired from The State of Ohio.
Roger married his beloved wife Elsie in 1968. Together they raised two sons: Anthony Scott (AT) and Paul Thomas (PT).He was a very loving and devoted husband and father who worked hard to provide for his family. He had a larger than life personality and anyone that knew him loved him dearly. He was not just a father to his own kids but also to many of the neighborhood children throughout the years.
Big Rog was an avid sports fan who loved cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Michigan Wolverines. He hosted many poker and fight nights with family and friends. His passion was for hot rods and motorcycles. He loved to cook out for anyone who wanted to come eat and spent countless nights out on his porch conversating with neighbors and family.
Sadly, Big Rog was predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife Elsie and many other family members. He is survived by his sons: Anthony Ward, Paul Ward (Jennifer Wagner) his sister Yvonne Korting, his grandchildren: Adam, Breona, Madilyn, Regan, Ryan, Makenlee, Paul (PT) Ward, Bethany Parsley and Tylor Smith. Great Grandchildren: Kennedy and Willow Parsley and Brynlee Thomas and Colton Smith and Ryan Marie Ward.
Visitation and memorial service will be held on August 23, 2024 at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services by Schoedinger at 3030 W. Broad St. Columbus, Oh 43204. Following the service, Big Rog will be laid to eternal rest next to his beautiful wife Elsie at Sunset Cemetery located at 6959 West Broad Street, Galloway, Oh 43119.
