Joan E. Blake

Joan E. Blake, age 82, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 28, 1929 to the late Claude and Vernon (Kinkade) Wall. Joan was a graduate of North High School and retired from Mount Carmel West Hospital after 25 years of dedicated service. She was a member of World Harvest Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant son, Mark Tatman; and son in-law, Dick Kearney. Survivors include her children, Robert (Lois) McFarland, Julie Kearney, and Claudia (Rick) Burns; grandchildren, Richard (Dawn) and Joshua (Rachel) Kearney, Kyle (Sarah) and Kaleb Burns, and Joseph (Julia) and Benjamin McFarland; 9 great grandchildren, brother, John (Pat) Wall; nephew, Chad (Becky) Wall; and special friends, Linda Lockwood, Rose Ross, Leona McFarland, Joan Geerston, and Tammy Neyste. Friends may call on Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 2:00PM-5:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio where funeral service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 1:00PM. Pastor Les Bowling officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
