Joan Rebecca (Chesser) Hard, age 87 of Delaware, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013. Joan was born and raised in Athens County, Ohio, daughter of the late George F. and Edna Doan (Rodehaver) Chesser. Also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hard and brother, William Chesser. Joan will be greatly missed by her sons, Larry Dean (Barbara) Hard, D.D.S and Jerry Doan (Bonnie) Hard; grandchildren, Brian Hard and Connie Swanger; and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 12 P.M. Friday, August 23, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., where family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until time of service.
