Joan L. Hughes

Joan L. Hughes, age 86, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017. She was born on June 21, 1931 in Haviland, Ohio to the late August and Madie Laukhuf. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don W. Hughes; brothers, Marvin and Gerald Laukhuf; niece, Lorrie; and grandson, Daniel. She is survived by children, Randy (Wanda) Beavers, Renna (Rick) Parker, and Tammy (Larry) Fields; step-children Terri (Joe) Adams, Greg (Mary Kay) Hughes, Laurie (Karl) Nation; Sharon (Richard) Wilson, and Bart (Beth) Hughes; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and dear friends. Joan was a retired school teacher who served her church and her community for decades. Her involvement was dedicated and purposeful. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 10:30 am. Private burial to follow.
