Aunt Joan will be missed by everyone.  I loved her sense of humor and spirit.  I remember when you both came to stay at our house in Florida and how much fun we had visiting with you (Don) and her.  How Richard walked in on her when she was giving herself an insulin injection and she just laughed and laughed....she said "I'll bet this will be a sight you will never forget"!!  Well, we will never forget Aunt Joan and will miss her.  She was a very special Lady and loved a great deal.  Our home will always be welcome to you Uncle Don and the whole family. I will miss my Sister and loved her dearly.  I will treasure the memories I had of us walking from the house, down the path and to the school bus.  I remember the times we loaded into the old car and headed off to the Church of the Nazarene with Dad like it was yesterday.  I remembered how she would help me with my schoolwork.  It makes me smile to remember the sisterly squabbles between Janet and Joan over an article of clothing.  She will always live in my heart and the her loss cannot be measured or erased by time.  I want to send my heartfelt condolences to Don and

I am so saddened by the passing of my dear Aunt Joan.  She was a wonderful Aunt to me....and a great sister to my Mother.  I have great memories of the times that I spent with her and the rest of the Jackson family during my youth.  However, I cherish the discussions that I had with Aunt Joan which included topics ranging from fishing, to garage sales, to old cars ....and many interesting stories of my other aunts, uncles, grandfather and grandmother.  However, our most spirited discussions were about politics which always raised her blood pressure...I'm sure.  I loved my Aunt Joan and will sorely miss her.
I came across this short verse that sums-up my thoughts of her passing.......

"Wonderful memories woven in gold,
This is a picture I tenderly hold,
Deep in my heart, a memory is kept,
To love, to cherish, never to forget.

Joan was the Mother of my best friend, Georgia Pease.  I got to know Joan when she would come out to NJ for visits.  We would go shopping, and have a nice lunch, and she would tell stories about Georgia's childhood in Ohio.  Joan was a devoted Grandmother to Amber & Michael. one of my fondiest memories of me and my sister is when we were teenagers and we were upstairs with our sister -in-law nora and we were dying each others hair and heard a noise coming up the steps and it was our dad we all dived under the bed and our dad took the strap and was swiping it under the bed trying to hit us but he kept hitting nora we were laughing so hard the more nora yeeled the more we laughed this is only one memory of when we were growing up there are so many memories of myself and my brothers and sisters i love them all so much joan will always be in my heart and i will miss her very much.to don and her family my thoughts and prayers are wirh you.love janet harp
