

Joan P. King, age 85, a lifelong resident of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on June 11, 2015. Joan was born January 8, 1930 to the late Edward and Ann (Noel) Slattery and was a 1947 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy. She enjoyed frequent opportunities to connect with her St. Joseph's Guild. Joan was a founding member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and retired from National City Bank. She loved singing (in church and with the "Singing Mom's") and spending time with her family. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Donald King; daughter JoEllen King; brother Richard Slattery and sister, Martha Davis. She is survived by her children, David (Sherri) King of Dublin, Gary (Sharee) King of Reynoldsburg, Marcy (Sam) Wooster of Westerville and Doug (Leslie) King of Pickerington; very special sister Barbara (Buell) Greene; grandchildren, Ashley (Dan) Wolf, Kelsey and Michael Wooster, Zach, Caitlin, Alexis, Quentin and Spencer King; great-grandchildren Mia and Josh Wolf; good friends Karen and Guy Lawler, Gail Helm, Jo Wilhelm and Pat Spires; extended family and many good friends. Family will receive friends 2-5pm Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10:30am, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 Waggoner Rd., Msgr. David Funk, Celebrant. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Special thanks to Joan's caring nurses at Mt. Carmel East and to all of her friends at Amber Park, especially her tablemates. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Susan G.
