Jo Ann L. Kessel, age 74, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010. She was born on August 4, 1935, and was a lifelong resident of Columbus. She worked as a stock clerk for Schottensteins, as well as for Lazarus, and retired from the Shoe Corporation. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Kessel Sr. She is survived by her children, Pamela (Doug) Tarbert, and Robert (Janet) Kessel Jr.; grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Kevin, and Joe; and 5 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.
