

JoAnn Theresa Mascari, 89, died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer early Saturday morning, April 18, 2015. She was born to the late Sam and Anna Mangia on December 12, 1925. She is preceded in death by her husband Vincent J. Mascari as well as her sisters Marian Stankiewicz and Mary Foresman and grandson Mark Mascari. JoAnn graduated from Bexley High School and was a longtime parishioner of Saint Andrew Catholic Church. She was a recent resident of the Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing and enjoyed watching old films, reading romance novels and playing poker with fellow residents; JoAnn was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Chuck (Randi) Mascari, Sam (Jackie) Mascari, Mary (Jack) Stark. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Andrew (Sarah) Mascari, Kathryn (Aaron) Gausepohl, Matthew Mascari, Paul Mascari, Travis (Ksenia) Stark, Kelsey (Gerard Michael) D’Emilio , and two great grandchildren Jack and Addison. Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 22 from 12:00pm to 1:00 pm with a memorial service immediately following at The Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
