Joe, you were a very nice person and a part of my family.  You are missed.  RIP

To all of the family, I don't have the words to fully express how sorry I am for your loss.  Joe loved his family and friends deeply and strove to put a smile on everyone's face.  He had a smile as big and bright as his personality and could light up a room as soon as he entered! He also had a serious and tender side with an ear or shoulder for anyone that needed him.  I'm thankful to have had the time to get to know Joe.  His presence will continue to be felt and his love will be there in the hearts of those he touched. Joe will be missed by those left behind, but sharing good memories and taking comfort in each other is what he would want. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you.

Joe was a dear friend of mine in high school and a few years later.  I'm very saddened to hear of his passing.  I wish his loved ones well.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Joe once. I got to babysit his two adorable babies. The love between Joe and Cleopatra and Cotton was phenomenal to watch.   He was kind and generous and he will be sorely missed. I am sure God has received him with open arms

I remember the first time I hung out with Joe. We were at Chris Turners house just chatting away. For some reason we were sharing a sucker.  He had his tongue pierced still and we were laughing about how it left a funny mark on the sucker. We had the dumbest, funniest conversation that day. We found out our birthdays are a day apart - he was so excited to hear that we were "birthday twins".  One of the last times I saw Joe was at his apartment in Olentangy Commons for his  Halloween party ! I remember leaving with my cheeks hurting from laughing so much.  Although it has been a long time since I have seen Joe I will cherish the memories we had together. You were so loved by so many.

The most radiant and beautiful stars seem to burn out the fastest. As if there's some sort of innate or inherent warmth that burns through the precious fuel which showers us with kindness and love while expecting nothing in return. Though the star may burn out, the warmth it leaves upon us cannot be replicated but treasured... and at one point that star will return and burn brighter than before. That star is Joe.
