John R. Butler, age 76, passed away at Kobacker House on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. John was born in Wheelwright, Kentucky to John H. and Lena Mae Bryant. He worked as an Apartment Complex Manager, loved music and was an avid sports fan rooting for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels and the Denver Broncos. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Lena. Survived by his son, Gavin Blakey; brother, James Butler; nieces, Blanche and Sidney; special friends, David, Peggy, James and Bobby; and long time aide, Crissy.
