

John Wesley Eaton, SMSgt., USAF, Retired, age 83, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2013 at Friendship Village of Columbus. John, also known as “Wes” was born November 20, 1929 in Cincinnati to the late John W. and Willa Metta Eaton; also preceded in death by his wife, Caryll Thomas Eaton and daughter-in-law, Carol Eaton; Graduated from PLainville High School. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Ohio Air National Guard. His extensive career in electrical power technology and hazardous materials extended into careers in civil service; he retired from the State of Ohio. John was a member of Eastpointe Christian Church and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Jerry (Toni), David (Dina), Randy (Mary Ann), Joe (Patty), Steve (Sandy) and Cindy (Sam) Marsh; beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. Visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232 where services will be held at 10am Monday; interment with military honors to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assn., 471 E. Broad St., Suite 1630, Columbus, OH 43215.
