

John Elasky 90, of Groveport, died Monday, June 18, 2012. He was born December 22, 1921 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of the late Michael and Mary (Motko) Elasky. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the 25th Regiment of the 35th Infantry Division. He retired after forty six years from Lucent Technology where he was an electrical engineer. He was active in many civic and professional organizations including Telephone Pioneers of America. John was a member of Maize Manor United Methodist Church. He was an avid reader, especially of Civil War History. He enjoyed playing golf, visiting and playing cards with friends, taking long walks and especially spending time with his family. On August 23, 1947 John married Dolores (Dee) Domazlicky and they were married for 65 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret Thorsen and brother Victor. Besides his loving wife Dee, he is survived by children Bill (Kathy), Judy Peach (Harry) and Jeff (Lynne), sister Ruth, seven grandchildren Luke Elasky, Devon O’Brien, Beth Simpson, Rebecca Elasky, Samantha Foster and Jordan and Aubrey Elasky, nine great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 at Maize Manor United Methodist Church at 11 AM. SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL is assisting the family.
