John was a graduate of OSU and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was the Vice-President of programming at WBNS-10TV in Columbus.
John was preceded in death by his son, Brian; brother, Fred and sister, Marguerite Newman. John will be missed by his loving wife of 42 years, Patricia; daughter, Lisal (Don) Gorman; grandchildren, Cody and Morgan Hondros and Alex Haldi; and nieces, Holly Wingard, Robin Hastings, and Terri Muir.
