John Charles Hicks

John C. Hicks, age 83, of Delaware Ohio, passed away November 12, 2016 at Willow Brook Christian Village in Delaware Ohio. John is survived by his wife, the love of his life; Jan, sister; Nancy Lou Pilgrim, brother; Rick (Mary), and his two sons; Steve (Diane) and Andy (Kimberly), 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren He also leaves his Dutch son, Peter Van Deventer, and John's previous wife and longtime friend, Jeanie. John graduated from Columbus Central High School, and following high school graduation he enlisted in the US Navy and served his country from 1952 to 1954. Following an honorable discharge John worked for Ohio Bell/Ameritech and retired after 40 years of loyal service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice, 180 East Broad Street Columbus Oh, 43215. Services are entrusted to SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N.
