He was born on December 30, 1935, to the late Floyd and Alveda Hook. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother Homer Lee Hook, sisters Florence Spurgeon and Margaret Root. He was a retired truck driver for Worthington Industries.
He is survived by his wife Jean Hook, daughters Heather (Jim) Dover and Karen (Todd) Cliff; grandchildren Matthew Durkin, Austin Dover, Emma and Allie Cliff; sisters Mary Nowell, Ruth Griffith and Brother Floyd Hook.
A private graveside service will be held at Jefferson Twp. Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. In memory of John, donations can be made to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org .
