

John E. Jacobs, age 49, previously of Dayton, currently of Columbus, passed away September 29, 2011. John was born August 10, 1962 at Lockbourne Air Fore Base in Columbus, oldest son of Judith Moeckel and Don Jacobs. Throughout Johns life, he was always tempting fate and lived his life to the fullest. He was a devout Christian who had a deep spiritual relationship with many, had a great sense of humor, was very driven, and allowed nothing to hold him back. He was a car enthusiast and owned Jacobs Auto body and Collision Center in Dayton, Ohio. He loved building, restoring and selling muscle cars. John was unforgettable, great with his hands, mechanically gifted and always had a great vision of how things would turn out. He will be greatly missed by his son, Timothy (Kendra) Jacobs; grandson, Levi Jacobs; mother, Judith Moeckel; father, Don Jacobs; siblings, Sandra (Dana) Eagen and Thomas (Dayle) Jacobs; special uncle and dear friend, Frank Moeckel; former wives, Kristin Jacobs and Dayna Clark; and many other extended family members and close friends. John will not be remembered by the amount of days in his life, but rather the amount of life in his days. Funeral services will be held at 6 P.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., where family will receive friends from 1-3 P.M. and 5 P.M. until time of service Wednesday.
