John Hawley Lyons

John "Jack" Hawley Lyons, 96, long time resident of Upper Arlington, died April 4, 2015 at Friendship Village of Dublin. Born and raised with a loving family in Steubenville, Ohio. Graduate of Stanford University - 1941. Proudly served in the 189th Field Artillery, US Army, European Theater, WWII. Married Marion Johnston November 8, 1947. Professional career in the Savings and Loan Industry. Jack was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Downtown Sertoma, Masonic Temple (Past Master), Aladdin Shrine and Eastern Star. He was preceded in death by his wife Marion and daughter Judith.

Cherished by children Mary Ann (Dick) Porter, Grandchildren Michelle (John) Evans, Carrie (Ben) Foster, Erin Porter, Brett Porter, Great Grandchildren Marlee and Sunny Foster and Reece Porter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2070 Ridgecliff Rd, Upper Arlington at 3 pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Family will receive friends following service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Church or a favorite charity.
