

John W. Quigley, 95, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013. Born in Nelsonville, Ohio on September 26, 1918 to the late Lowell W. and Catherine Wolfe Quigley. Mr. Quigley was a longtime resident at the Trillium Place of Dublin. A North High Graduate, Class of 1936, he was a member of the Old North High Club. A dedicated Mason for 42 years, he was a member of the Linden Lodge #637, F.&A.M. An honorary member of Neoacacia Lodge #595, University Lodge #631, and Triangle Lodge #748. He was a past Master of the Franklin County Memorial Lodge, a member of the Scottish Rite – Valley of Columbus, a 32nd degree Mason and an Ambassador for the Aladdin Shrine Temple. A veteran of WWII, having honorably served with the US Army as a Radio Operator with the 48th Armored Infantry Battalion, and also served with the 7th Armored Division. He was the last original member, and Past Commander with Amvets Post #89. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Esther “Betty”; special friend Loma Huff; sister Norma Donavan; brother Jim Quigley. He is survived by his devoted daughter Connie Riegel; granddaughters Michele (Mark) Murry and Cindy (Terry) Ward; great grandchildren Stephanie Murry, Tristan (Heather) Murry, Christine (David) Shahbodaghi and Bethany
(Michael Cichonsky) Ward; niece and nephews Margie, Ted and Joe McCord; and many, many friends. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington where a Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. that evening. His Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Masonic Home, 2655 W. National Rd, Springfield, Ohio 45504 or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 12502 USF Pine Drive, Tampa, FL 33612 in Mr. Quigley’s memory.
