Loving Friends of John and Sharon purchased the Blooming Basket for the family of John Louis Sanders II.

John lived next door to us from the time I was in 6th grade until after I graduated.   He was a great neighbor, always willing to lend a hand, and always had time for the kids in Ringgold who played sports in his yard with Johnny and Jill.   He always had something positive to say to us, and was a great role model.    Rest in peace, John.

I met John on a Sunday night at Briggs High Auto Shop and that started a friendship in 1977. I am sorry that we lost touch. John was a good man. He loved his family and his professions. I was shocked today hen an ex-student of ours let me know what had happened. He will be truly missed. He touched a lot of young men in his life and they are blessed to have had a chance to met John or as they called him, Mr. Sanders. Sharon I know that you are hurting as well as the rest of the family. My prayers go out to you and your family. John may not be here, but he will never be forgotten.

John and Sharon have been part of our Florida Family for many years.  He introduced our son and grandsons to snorkeling with the manatees.  We spent almost every day with them while in Crystal River.  It will never be the same without them and will always think of them when we go to Dairy Queen, Mama Sallys, and Pizza Hut. John was my scuba instructor and I came to love his sense of humor, his dedication, his stories.  I went on several scuba diving trips with John, sink hole diving in Florida, snorkeling with manatees, crystal river.  He was a good man and will be missed by many divers who shared his passion of exploring the underwater wonders.

Over the years I've been diving at Circleville, John was usually there in the shop or participating in our club's swap meet. It will be strange not to see him ever again. He was a great member of the Ohio diving community and I know every diver who knew him will miss him. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

One of my most cherished memories is manatee snorkeling with John and my Dad in Crystal River. When I met John I instantly knew how special he was. My dad passed away in January and John was one of the few who's hug took the pain away even if just for a second. Thank you John for the special memory with my dad, for the interesting conversations and for the complete feeling of safety and warmth in your presence. You will be missed.

Dear Johnny,Jill,Jamie,   You and all John's family are in my  prayers. John was a faithful visitor to my dad many years ago as he battled cancer,dad always had a smile when he heard John's voice. John was again a comfort and encouragment as he shared with Gary and I during Gary's cancer  journey. I believe they are sharing today in the presence of the LORD, with a joy we have yet to know. I first met John when he was head of the Pickaway County Underwater Recovery Team.
Later as we both trained to be EMT's and the funeral homes were giving the emergency
ambulance service over to Circleville Squad. John was a vital part of the community and there is no way to count the thousands of hours he gave to the dive teams and to the squad. He was a teacher all his life even after retiring from the classroom.
As a Franklin County Deputy we relied on John and his crew many times. If a department needed John he was there.
There will never be another John Sanders and his legacy will live on in the countless divers he trained for law enforcement  and fire & rescue agencies.
Thanks is not enough for a man like this. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family as
they celebrate his life and not mourn his passing.

Thank you for allowing me to assist you with John's arrangements today.  He was a dear friend who taught many us a lot about being good EMTs in our days with Circleville EMS.  He also will be remembered for the countless hours he helped teach others about underwater search, rescue and recovery and was instrumental in bringing comfort and closure to many families who were awaiting news of a missing loved one.  His lifetime was spent helping others and for this we are eternally grateful.
