

John Henry Stephens, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Born on April 26, 1960, in Camden, New Jersey, John was the son of the late Henry and Dolores (Cleaver) Stephens.
John spent his childhood growing up in Bellmawr, New Jersey, before moving to Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 17. He graduated from Groveport Madison High School and went on to build an extraordinary career with Plastic Supplies, where he dedicated 46 years of service. Through hard work, determination, and leadership, he rose to the position of Production Manager before retiring.
A true outdoorsman, John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He took great pride in making deer jerky and homemade sausages, often sharing them with family and friends. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and devoted Cincinnati Reds fan. John loved baseball, especially the time he spent sharing the game with his grandson, Jackson.
John had a larger-than-life personality and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. A natural jokester, he had an incredible ability to make people laugh, a gift he carried with him until the very end. He was the kind of person who would help anyone in need without hesitation and was deeply devoted to his family. Whether he was spending time with loved ones, enjoying the outdoors, or blasting classic rock music from his car speakers, John embraced life with enthusiasm and joy.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Campbell.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Lisa (Reynolds) Stephens; daughters, Laura Stephens and Carlie Stephens; grandson, Jackson; granddaughter, Vivienne; sister, Debbie Morin; uncle, John Stephens; aunt, Pat Mulroy; and several nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family members, and cherished friends.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43232, where a funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's memory to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
John's laughter, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
