Jonathan R. Eades, age 31, entered eternal life in the presence of Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 2, 2012. He was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, on September 19, 1980, son of Tim and Twyla Eades of Hilliard, who survive. He is also survived by his sister, Kellye (Jesse) Schroeder of Grove City; niece, Aleli Schroeder; paternal grandmother, Ruth Eades of Hurt, Virginia; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Dillard of Hurt, Virginia; uncles, Mark (Betty) Eades of Altavista, Virginia, and Tim Dillard of Hurt, Virginia; aunt, Jennifer Moore (Larry) of Bedford, Virginia; special caregiver and friend, James Dutton; and many cousins and close friends. Jonathan was a graduate of Tree of Life Christian School and attended Columbus State Community College. He graduated Suma Cum Laude from Franklin University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, and he used his education to assist in raising funds for church missions and programs for underprivileged children. He attended Lifepoint Church and Grove City Church of the Nazarene where he worked for 8 years in the media department. Jonathan worked quietly behind the scenes, but his presence was always there as he worked on video and print materials for church and other humanitarian programs. Through his experience with muscular dystrophy, Jonathan was able to encourage others through motivational speaking at conferences, workshops, and support groups. Jonathan never let his physical limitations discourage him from living his life to the fullest. He loved to travel and plan trips for his family and others, and he was an avid Columbus Blue Jackets and Crew fan. He greatly enjoyed being an uncle, and he was deeply loved by all who had the opportunity to know him. Family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Grove City Church of the Nazarene, 4770 Hoover Road, Grove City. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the church with Pastor Brad Kochis officiating. Interment will be held on Wednesday in Altavista, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at https://secure.mdausa.org/Donate; or to Hearts for Heaven at www.heartsforheaven.com. Arrangements by the Schoedinger Norris Chapel, (614) 875-6333. Visit www.schoedinger.com to share a favorite memory of Jonathan.
