Joseph Andrew Bachman

A funeral service for Joseph Andrew Bachman, 54 of Pataskala, will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Joseph was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 15, 1957 to the late Anton and Florence (Scharkowsky) Bachman. He passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center on September 27, 2011.

Prior to retirement, Joseph was a sergeant detective with the Columbus Police Department for over 21 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed hunting, bluegrass music and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Morgan S. (Tillotson) Bachman, whom he married on June 29, 1984; siblings, Robert (Mary) Bachman, Cathy (Paul) Haen, Jim Bachman, Mary (Rick) Christman, John Bachman and Barb Bachman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Joseph to the Licking County Humane Society, 548 Dog Leg Rd., Heath, Ohio 43056.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark on Friday, October 7, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
