Joseph S. Burns, age 73, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side. Joe was born in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia on December 28, 1942 to Jesse E. and Georgia V. (Girdy) Burns. Joe worked for the US Postal Service for over 30 years. He had a passion for painting and was a member of GALA. Joe loved to garden and do yard work. He has won numerous awards for his yard over the years. Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Georgia Burns; brother, Jesse Burns and sister, Seletine Burns. Survived by his wife of over 30 years, Nola Burns; children, Aleta, Kimberly, Mark and Michael; several grandchildren; sister, Helen Prater; other relatives and friends.
