

Joseph E. Ohlinger, D.D.S, 91, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away January 18, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Joseph is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Jean Ohlinger, his daughters: Barbara (Bruce) Hirsch and Debbie (Ken) Schnabel as well as four grandchildren: Becky (Jacob) Abbs, Adam (Ruri) Hirsch, Caitlin (Eric) Quadrozzi, and Joe (Raeanne) Schnabel, and five great-grandchildren: Caleb and Olivia Abbs, Charlotte Hirsch, and Nolan and Taylor Quadrozzi, sister, Harriet Rauch, and caregiver, Ruth Adjei. He was a 1941 graduate of Pomeroy High School, Navy veteran of World War II, graduate of The Ohio State University and then OSU Dental School class of 1950 where he joined Sigma Chi and Psi Omega fraternities. Joseph practiced dentistry in Upper Arlington and was on the faculty of the OSU Dental School until his retirement in 1989. He also was a charter member of the Upper Arlington Optimist Club and PROBUS, director and lifetime member of the Upper Arlington Civic Association and OSU Alumni Association and a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 1-4 pm Sunday, January 24, 2016 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd, where a Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday. Private interment Union Cemetery.
