Joseph Nicholas Rotonda

Joseph Rotonda, age 80, of Reynoldsburg passed away at home on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He was born on September 8, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to the late, John and Bernice (Ater) Rotonda. Joe owned and operated the Aztec Lounge for twenty years. He loved playing and watching sports especially baseball and golf. His favorite teams included Notre Dame, The Yankees, and even the Browns. Joe was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church and enjoyed volunteering with their food pantry. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael and John; sisters, Rose, Lucia, and Louise. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jane; devoted children, John (Tanya), Chuck (Rose), Kris (Richard), and Steve (Lori); grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary and Helena; numerous nieces, nephews, good neighbors and friends. Family will receive friends 4-8 pm Friday, December 30, 2016 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Saturday, December 31, 2016 at St. Philip the Apostle Church, 1573 Elaine Rd. Entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Philip's Food Pantry, 1573 Elaine Rd. Columbus, OH 43227.
