Josephine was known for her love of Family & Food. The two were synonymous with one another. When entering her home, she would ask if you were hungry and regardless of the answer plates and food would appear. She was a “food pusher” with the best of intentions. She took pride in knowing your favorite dish, cooked it with love and marked your name in her cookbook adjacent to the recipe. Cooking was her love language, and she wanted to feed your heart and soul. Through these acts of love, her family bonds were rooted, traditions instilled, and waistlines expanded.
Josephine was more than just an amazing home cook. She was a wife of 50+ years to her husband and the love of her life, Blaise Tauro. A Mother to their three Children: Biagio Tauro, Melissa (Ryan) Tauro and Graig Tauro. A Grandmother to their three Grand Children: Destiny Tauro, Anthony (Giorgii) Tauro-Smith and Natalia (Jacob) Tauro Palmer. A Sister to her 6 siblings: Carol, Joan, Kathleen, Theresa, Mary and Roberta. And an aunt to over 10 Nieces and Nephews.
Josephine’s love for her family was unconditional and limitless. She provided a comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing her and a smile that could warm any room. Although Josephine was small in stature her presence was monumental, and with her passing, her absence is immeasurable.
In moments when Josephine wasn’t cooking, she could be found planting flowers in her backyard garden, crocheting by lamplight, or playing scrabble on Saturdays with her family.
Josephine’s family will be celebrating her life, and receiving guests from 3:00-5:00PM, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Advantage by Schoedinger North Funeral Home, 5554 Karl Road.
