Joy Ann Greer

Joy Ann Greer, a longtime resident of Upper Arlington, passed away at the age of 90 on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Westminster Thurber Community. She was born in Columbus, OH and earned her Bachelor degree from The Ohio State University and worked for the Upper Arlington Library system until she retired in 1988. She was a voracious reader and used to host book club in her home. She also loved to travel to China, France, and England. She was the last and oldest of her 4 siblings. Joy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dale Greer. She is survived by her sons, Dale R. (Martha), Dr. Eric (Glenda) Greer; grandchildren, Meredith Greer-Magnan, Dr. Celeste Greer, Gwendlyn Greer, Maxwell Greer and Andrea Greer; great grandchild, Lincoln Greer. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Westminster Thurber Community Chapel, 717 Neil Ave. Columbus, OH 43215 with Chaplin, Mark Arne officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Union Cemetery. Family has entrusted SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL with final arrangements.
