Joyce Black

Joyce Black, age 88, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 14, 1924.She was a 1941 graduate of East High School. Joyce was a charter member of Linden Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for many years and has been a member of Bethel Lutheran Church the last five years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Black; father, Clarence Miller; mother, Pauline Bates; step-father, Frank Bates; sisters Juanita Miller and Elaine Simms; and brother, Paul Miller. Joyce is survived by her children, Raymond (Brenda) Black, Steven (Linda) Black, and Anita (Ted) Johnson; brother, Herbert Miller; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Friday, April 27, 2012 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 9:30AM at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4501 Hoover Rd, Grove City. Pastor Peter Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Contributions in Joyce’s memory may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church.
