

She was born in Pineville, Kentucky on May 14, 1954, a coal miner’s daughter of the late Herman and Willie Jean Ridley Taylor.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by Rev. John and Louise DeMint, sister Carol Conley, along with the recent passing of her brother Larry Taylor and her precious Schnauzer Hattie Grace.
Joyce is survived by her two children, son Jeffrey Lawrence DeMint and wife, Chasity, grandchildren Corbin and Maddox of Chillicothe Ohio; daughter Jennifer Ann Tabor and husband, Faron II, grandchildren Addyson, Ashlynn, and Jackson of West Jefferson, Ohio; Ex-Husband of 30 years , father of Joyce's two children and special friend since, Larry DeMint; brothers and sisters, Jerry Taylor and wife, Carol, Linda Taylor, David Taylor and wife, Lisa, and Donna Taylor; sister (cousin) Rosie Reeser, a host of nieces, nephews; best friends Rhonda Tabor and Linda Tabor; and many others.
Joyce felt very blessed to have finished her work career and dream job as Executive Assistant, to her very special friend Ted Perry and many co-workers at Ohio Christian University. She was a member and served as Elder of Harvest Chapel Church.
This Kentucky girl was a true Wildcat basketball fan that loved red roses, reading books, cooking, gardening, special Mammaw/MooMoo time with her grandchildren and spending time in devotions and prayer.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Detty Chapel on the campus of Ohio Christian University, 1476 Lancaster Pike, Circleville, Oh 43113. A funeral service will be held following the visitation, at 3:00pm.
