Joyce "Joy" Kirkpatrick

Joyce “Joy” Lynne Kirkpatrick, 76, of Westerville, OH passed away Friday October 9, 2015 at Kobacker House surrounded by her family. Born January 21, 1939 Joy was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Borden. She graduated with a BA from Bowling Green State University and MA from Ashland University, and was a member of Delta Zeta and Sunbury United Methodist Church. After starting her career with Columbus Public Schools, Joy dedicated 25 years teaching 4th grade for Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools. She is preceded in death by her infant grandchildren, Tanner, Faith, Thomas and Grant. Joy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Thomas “Mike”; children, Keith (Valerie) Kirkpatrick, Brian (Cheryl Rodeheffer) Kirkpatrick and Todd (Amy) Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Alexandria and Sebastian Kirkpatrick. A celebration of life service will be held 5:00pm Saturday October 17th, 2015 at SUNBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 100 West Cherry Street, Sunbury, Ohio 43074 where the family will greet friends 1 hour prior to and following the service.
