Judith A. Ballantyne

Judith A. Ballantyne (nee Benadum), age 81, of Upper Arlington, Ohio passed away on August 12, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio. Judith was born on October 13, 1941. She is preceded in death by her parents Russell A. Benadum and Wilma E. Benadum, her husband Arthur W. Ballantyne on September 22, 1996, her sister, Suzanne C. Neal on August 20, 2022, and her niece Elizabeth A. Neal on June 4, 1991.

She is survived by her niece Stephanie C. Heideman (David) and great nieces Molly and Emma Heideman. She always enjoyed spending time with them during holidays and visits. She is also survived by her nephew Robert Harris of Upper Arlington who cared for her when she needed help.

Judith lived her entire life in the Columbus, Ohio area and was a huge Ohio State Buckeye Fan. She worked many years for The Ohio State University in the Admissions Office. She had a large collection of OSU memorabilia and could always be found watching televised games to cheer on the Buckeyes.

Judy enjoyed cooking and would often prepare the German meals that she grew up with from her mother’s kitchen. Judy was a kind and loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend.

In recent years she resided in the Wexner Heritage Community with the support of Susan Wasserman. Her family wishes to thank Susan and the staff and caregivers of Wexner Heritage for the loving, compassionate care that she received from them.
