

Judi was a 1964 graduate of Upper Arlington H.S. where she met her sweetheart, John. She and John both attended Miami University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi.
Judi and John owned the Red Door Tavern in Grandview for 20 years. She raised two daughters, was a loving wife, and a doting grandmother. She was the mom who opened her home to all of the neighborhood children. Judi was an active member of First Community Church where she sang in the Contemporary Choir and volunteered at the Trading Post.
She loved singing, playing tennis, teaching and playing bridge, birds and nature, swimming, and photography. Judi, John, and family loved taking trips to Sanibel Island and Torch Lake. Judi was known for her positive, happy personality and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Elgin and Elizabeth Tom and brother, Jim Tom. Judi will be missed by her loving husband of 48 years, John Parsons; daughters, Jill (Martin) Carroll and Jennifer (Paul) Ballinger; grandchildren, Nicklaus, Allison, Catherine, Cole, Christopher, and Madeline; sister, Mary (Paul) Nadzam; and her beloved dog, Molly.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, OH. A private family service will be held at a later date.
