Born on December 30, 1952, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Larry and Kay Carroll, Judy entered the world just nine minutes before her twin sister.
Judy dedicated many years to serving customers through her work at Sears and Hancock Fabrics. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and especially loved traveling to visit friends, as well as taking trips to zoos and aquariums with her daughter, Tara. A talented crafter, Judy enjoyed sewing, baking, and creating handmade treasures. She had a deep love for animals of all kinds, with a special place in her heart for her beloved Shih Tzus. Judy was a faithful member of Asbury United Methodist Church South.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her twin sister, Joan Strickland, and brother-in-law, Michael Strickland.
Judy will be lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 51 years, Terry Potts; her daughter, Tara Potts; her son, Curt Potts; her sister, Linda Gasdaglis; her niece, Katie Gasdaglis; her nephew, James Gasdaglis; and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Schoedinger East, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43232. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
