Julie Weaver Comer

Julie Weaver Comer, child of God, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021. Julie was born October 3, 1960 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, and grew up in Columbus, Ohio, beloved daughter of Larry and Patricia (Geyer) Weaver. Julie graduated from Upper Arlington High School and Capital University. Following graduation, Julie began a 32-year elementary education teaching career at Gahanna Elementary School. Upon retiring, Julie then took a position with SON Ministries where she continued devoting her life to helping others. She was a longtime active member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church and SON Ministries. Julie was a caring and joyful woman who possessed a bubbly personality. Her devoted faith in God gave her the ability to teach others strength, grace and patience. She is preceded in death by her brother, Larry, Jr. In addition to her parents, she will be deeply missed by her daughters, Erica Comer and Lauren (Justin) Williams; grandchildren, Adonis, Octavia, Cohen, and Garrett; aunt, Mary Fickle; and other extended family members, colleagues, and dear friends. A memorial service celebrating Julie’s life will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church-Mill Run Campus, 3500 Mill Run Dr. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, seating for the funeral service is limited.
