Roger,

 

When you lose someone, you do gain an angel. She will be in every thought and decision you make. I pray you find comfort in knowing you both are enriched by having shared your love and good memories imprinted forever. Remember the best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or touched.... they must be felt with the heart. In your heart, she will be there forever.  I pray to give you strength and send forth peace to surround you.

I worked with Julie at Screamin' Willies/ East Dallas in the 80's. We had so much fun, our circle of friends, in those days. I remember she would make sausage gravy and biscuits for us in the wee hours of morning. One night she taught me how to make it because I liked hers so much. I'm so sorry Roger to hear of her passing. Hers was a truly beautiful spirit. I'll always remember her now when I eat sausage gravy and biscuits.

Julie was a joy to work with.  One could hear her laugh all over the floor.  She was my "go to" when I needed answers regarding administrative topics.  She will be missed.
My family and I will hold all of you in our prayers.

Dear Roger and The Family of Julie:  
I worked directly with Julie along time ago and have known her for many years. Her death is so sad for those of us who knew and worked with her.   She was always smiling and happy to see any one she knew.  And she knew many at ODH.  We will miss her.  To Roger and to Julie's family, what a terrible loss. A beautiful girl is gone too soon. Being the stepmother of two teens wasn't always easy, but through the years Julie and I matured and so did our relationship.  We were friends when she came back to Michigan in the 80s and I learned to appreciate her specialness.  It was always so gratifying to me to get a Christmas card from her every year with little tidbits of news and even photos.  I will be ever grateful that we met again just a few months ago in a loving reunion.  Roger, my heart aches for you.

I am so, so saddened to hear of Julie's passing. She was a wonderful, wonderful colleague and friend at the Dept of Health. Julie always had a smile, was so much fun to be around, and was the "go to Gal" --- if you had a problem or needed something, Julie was your girl. It is so hard to say good-bye to such a one--of -a -kind person. When I think of Julie, I think about a tiny, dynamo, who could dish it out with any of us who chose to give her a "hard" time.  She was always there to help me, guide me and make me laugh. What a girl!  And when she spoke of Roger, it was clear he was the love and light of her life. Someday...there may be someone else sitting at her desk , but there will never be another Julie. She is special.  I will miss her and her wonderful laugh.  I am Blessed to have gotten to know her.
