Karen Sue Childress, age 66, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017. She was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio on August 31, 1950 to the late Rutledge and Mary Lou Childress. Karen is survived by her son, Chuck Childress; daughter, Mary (Jack) Lane; granddaughter, Chantelee Pipes; grandson, William Childress; sisters, Vicki Childress and Barbara Anne Minarik; several nephews; and many cousins. Karen enjoyed watching the NFL and WWE. She had a great sense of humor; loved music and most of all her family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 6:00PM at the HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME BY SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio. Family will receive friends one hour prior. Karen will be laid to rest at York Cemetery at a later date.
