

Kathleen Ann Gilchrist, age 69, of Grove City, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 9, 2013 at Emeritus at Pinnacle following a brave battle with ALS. She was born February 13, 1944 in Columbus to the late Harley and Goldie Sapp; also preceded in death by her husband, Martin Gilchrist and siblings, Pat (Tom) Magaw, Rita Wilcox, Alice McKeon, Jim Sapp and brother-in-law Carl Colopy. Survived by siblings, JoAnn Colopy, Tom (RoseAnn) Sapp, Joe (Nancy) Sapp and Peggy (Mike) Spiers; many nieces and nephews; stepchildren, Ethel, Theresa and Fred; step grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends. Kathy was a 1962 graduate of St. Joseph Academy (Columbus, OH), a 1966 gradute of the University of St. Francis (Joliet, IL) and retired from Harmon School (Aurora, OH) where she fulfilled her passion for teaching math to middle school children. She was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and will be remembered for her keen sense of humor.
