

Kathleen Keane Hart, age 45, of Columbus and formerly of Bay Village, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011. She was born June 11, 1965 in Cleveland and was a 1983 graduate of Bay High School where she was active in the marching band and science club. Kathi received her teaching degree at The Ohio State University and taught kindergarten in the Columbus Public Schools for almost 22 years. Teaching and kids were her reason for being. Her love for children was expressed through her patience and creativity. Kathi was a great friend; the kind that everyone who came in touch with was better for knowing. She loved Mickey Mouse and her Buckeyes. She was a loving mother and aunt and was considered a part of her sister, Trish’s family. She was preceded in death by her niece, Faith Mathe. Kathi will be missed by her loving son, Patrick Walter Hart of Columbus; parents, Patrick and Diane Keane of Birmingham, OH; sister, Trish (Jim) Keane Mathe of Rocky River; nieces and nephew, Emma Rose, James Patrick, and Hope Anna Mathe; and special friend, Paul Kozlowski of Columbus. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2011 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (Just South of I-270), where family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Family will also receive friends Saturday, January 15, 2011 from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. at McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home, 25620 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, OH 44145. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kathi’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
