Kathy graduated from Ada High School in 1966. She married Bob Bailey and they had one daughter, Mitzi, and later divorced.
She moved to Columbus and worked for the Bureau of Workers Compensation for the State of Ohio for many years. She married Larry Sopko in 1988, and they were married for 23 years.
Kathy loved spending time with family, reading and taking vacations. She was kind, funny and very giving. She loved to help others as much as she could. Kathy was a huge Cleveland Browns and Ohio State fan. You could find her watching football every weekend. She also loved watching game shows and meatloaf was her favorite meal. Her favorite saying was “cool beans” and “yummo” when the food was good. She will be greatly missed.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents George and Eileen, her loving husband Larry, and her daughter Jessica. Kathy is survived by her brother George Fee (Bobbi); daughters Mitzi Wellman (Scott Row), Elizabeth Sopko, and Natalie Wilfong (Timothy). Grandchildren Preston Row (Jaylyn), Chase Wellman, Lani Price, Timothy Wilfong III; and one great-granddaughter Blakely.
A visitation will be held at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Rd, Columbus, OH 43221, on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, from 10:00AM to 12:30PM with a funeral to begin at 12:30PM. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Ave, Columbus, OH 43223.
