While the dates of her birth and passing are significant, it’s that small pause in between we should pay special attention to. It’s our hope when you reach that pause that you see a faint reflection of Katie and what her definition of what living was. She put others before herself, loving those who knew her with all her might, and in the end, always tried to do what she felt was right. Katie’s life was filled with a wealth that most can only hope for – the absolute love of her children, friends, and family. That tiny breath in between those two dates is her life, and while the time she was with us seems like a small pause in itself, she did everything she could to make the most of it. Our hearts ache when we see those two dates, but what we’ll remember lies in the pause between them.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Capital Area Humane Society, or an animal shelter of your choice, in her name.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington. Please visit www.schoedinger.com to send condolences to Katie’s family.
