Kay R. Scott, age 85 of Columbus, died Thursday, June 9, 2011. Kay was born in Newton, Kansas, daughter of the late Leland and Grace McQuillen. Also preceded in death by her husband, William B. Scott. Kay was a very spiritual woman who always put her family first. Her family is especially grateful for the happiness she added to their lives. Kay had a long career with JCPenney and retired after 25 years. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, Sunday drives, lunch with the girls, and had a “green thumb” when it came to her houseplants. God has prepared a very special place for her and we know she is now in peace. She will be missed by her sons, William (Donna Bayes) Scott and Mark (Jeanne) Scott; grandchildren, Lisa, Katie, Brian, and Mark; 6 great grandchildren; and brother, Mac McQuillen. Family will be holding a private memorial service celebrating the lives of both Kay and her beloved husband William. Arrangements by SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 614-861-6268. Special thanks to Tridia Hospice for the wonderful care and support they showed. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central Ohio Chapter, 3380 Tremont Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43221. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.schoedinger.com.
