Kelli Abshire

Kelli Abshire, age 52, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023, surrounded by her family. Born March 18, 1971, in Columbus, Ohio. Preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Lou Rothwell, mother-in-law, Edith Abshire and father-in-law, Sylvester Abshire. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Abshire; children, Kaitlyn and Kyle Abshire (Delgado). She is daughter to James Rothwell, sister to Kimberly (Steve) Eckert and Theresa (Jack) Sturgeon. Kelli accomplished many goals in life, including graduating nursing school and working as a BSN-RN for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her dog, Rossi and cat, Stitch. Kelli advocated for cancer research and cure after her mother’s passing of Ovarian Cancer in 2017. A Celebration of Life will be from 1:00- 4:00 pm Saturday, January 6, 2024 at OSU Stadium, 411 Woody Hayes Drive, in the Recruit Room. Please park in the East Lot and use Gate 30 to enter the stadium. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Kelli’s name to a local animal rescue.
