Kelly Ann Beery

Kelly was born on Jan 30, 1989 in Houston Texas to Rosemarie Crist. She moved to Columbus, Ohio were she graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School.

Family, friends, and the world lost another beautiful soul to the devastating disease of Addiction. Heroin overdose destroys lives and tears families apart. This disease does not discriminate. All heroin deaths can be prevented. Our hope is that Kelly's struggle will prevent others from this tragedy.

She gave birth to her beloved son, Khailynd Lee Beery, on Sept 30, 2009. Through their bond, Kelly shared her free spirit and tenacity for life. This love for her son was the inspiration for her recovery and the most important thing in her life.

Kelly's contagious laugh and sweet smile was a gift to her family; those memories will be forever cherished. She was a free spirit and a beautiful person with a caring heart. She found meaning and joy helping others and caring for the elderly.

Kelly fought hard for her sobriety. She participated in a sober community and began to build a new life. Family is proud of the steps that she was taking to better her and her son's life.

Kelly is survived by her loving mother Rosemarie Crist; her sister Niki Karst; son Khailynd Beery; grandmother Susanna Karst, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Karst

Calling hours will be held Monday, November 30, 2015 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio where a celebration of Kelly's life will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 12:30 PM with Reverend John Girard officiating. Burial will follow at Headley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting contributions to a scholarship fund for Kelly's son Khailynd. Checks may be made payable to Chase Bank for Khailynd Beery and will be deposited in an account for Khailynd.
