

Kenneth E. Carter, Sr. 76, Died Thursday July 8, 2010, in Sebring FL. Ken, known as “Mr. Safety” to his family, loved traveling the country on his Honda Gold Wing with his bride of 45 years JoAnn. Son Ken Jr. fondly recalls sailing in Michigan, son Rick remembers his solid work ethic and leadership qualities. Ken was a veteran USAF, chief mechanic for P-51 Mustang’s. He was also an Auxiliary Police Officer for Madison Township. In 1994, Ken retired from AEP after 33 years as a lineman and Safety Supervisor.. He attended Buttonwood Bay Christian Church in Sebring FL, and Shepherd Church of the Nazarene in Gahanna. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years JoAnn, children: Jill Valentine, Rick (Julie) Winnestaffer, Jana (Paul) Stoyanoff, Ken (Karri) Carter, Jr. grandchildren: Tessa, Jack and Scott; Kyle, Amanda, Jordan and Taylor; Annette; Aisha, Nick, Perry and Jay; great grandson Caden, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-8pm Monday at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel 1051 East Johnstown Road (AT Beecher Road) Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held at 10am Tuesday, July 13, 2010, with Pastor Sam Barber, officiating.
