Kenneth L. Chaffin

Kenneth L. Chaffin, age 75, of Columbus, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Woodview Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was retired with 31 years of service from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, having worked in the Long Term Care area. He was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, Capital City Chorus, and Capital City Music Company. Ken was also a member of Luther B. Turner Lodge, #732 F. and A. M. He was a longtime member of West 2nd Avenue Presbyterian Church, where he was an Elder; he had recently joined Boulevard Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathy Chaffin; stepson, Bruce (Rhea) Foughty; grandchildren, Allyson, Anthony, Carter, and Polly; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Karen) Huber; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 4-7:00pm Monday, August 13, 2018 (Masonic Service will take place at 6:30pm Monday) at Heart and Hope Funeral Home by Schoedinger, 3030 West Broad Street, where a funeral service will be held at 12:30pm Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Following the funeral service, Ken will be laid to rest next to his first wife, Judy in Rose Hill Burial Park, Springfield, Ohio.
