

Kenneth David Klopfer, 69, of Baltimore, OH, died Friday, February 3, 2012 at OSU Medical Center. He was born May 24, 1942 in Columbus to the late Emery and Margaret (Wray) Klopfer. He graduated from South High School, Class of 1960 and attended Capital University as a Music major. Ken was employed at Ohio State Life Insurance Claims Department for thirty three years and was also a sales agent with Safe Auto Insurance. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, a volunteer for the American Cross and enjoyed family and friends. Ken was a musician and played the trombone in a professional dance band, “The Swing Machine” and was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, boating, camping and hiking. He is survived by Pamela (Quickel) Klopfer to whom he was married forty nine years, sons Jeff (Lisa) Klopfer, daughters Kaitlin and Sarah, Mark (Aunda) Klopfer, daughter Kelsey and son Drew, Greg (Debbie) Klopfer, daughters Caley and Hannah and son Samuel, siblings Herbert (Donna) Klopfer and Janet (Richard) Roshon, Uncle Ed and Aunt Carolyn Klopfer. Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 7th from 5-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. and from 9 AM until time of service at 10 AM Wednesday, February 8th at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1000 Noe-Bixby Rd., Columbus, OH 43213. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowerrs memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or to Bethany Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
