Kevin Patrick Wood, 48, passed away at home in Columbus, Ohio, on July 8, 2026. He loved making beautiful hardwood floors, propagating and growing plants, fishing, and spending time with his beloved dog, Scooby. Kevin was brilliantly innovative and could come up with a fix or solution to anything. He always had a plethora of unique knowledge about the most random things. Kevin was quirky, funny, stubborn, and will be dearly missed. He was a beloved son, father, brother, and “PeePoo” (Grandpa). He is survived by his mother, Patricia Wood; his father, John (Dee) Wood; his sister, Stacy (David) Sturgill; his children, Kayla (Hunter) Wood and Joshua Wood; and his grandchildren, James Grigg, Elliana Grigg, and Everett Grigg, along with many members of his extended family. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Dean Sturgill, and his grandparents, Donald (Marie) Martin and Raymond (Violet) Wood.
A private viewing was held on Monday, July 13, 2026 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger-North, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43229. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you say a prayer over Kevin and his family during this difficult time.
