On the first day of spring, Kim Irene Marsh, 61, the middle child of James Marsh Jr and the late Judith Marsh (Sager) decided to end her well fought battle with cancer. Born on the spring day of May 27, 1959, Kim passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021. She is now tending to our Lord's gardens.
Besides her mother, Kim is preceded in death by grandparents, Eva (Powell) and Fred Hobbs and Margaret (Spada) and James Marsh Sr.
She is survived by her two sons, Brandon and Brian Woerner; Father James Marsh; sisters Pam Marsh-Eitel (Terry) and Gina Marsh; nieces Alicia Meyer (Greg), Sabrina Kretzer, Lauren Eitel; great-niece Kayla Grace; several Aunts and Uncles including Aunt Penny and Uncle Donald Sager; her favorite neighbor/sister and casino buddy Tearr Gradick Jones, and family friend Judi Robertson.
Kim's favorite past-time for decades was fishing and being outside. She loved her flowers, plants, bird houses and feeders. Rummy games at the neighbors kept her busy and very competitive. In high school, Kim played ball on Brookhaven's very competitive championship City League team as catcher. Kim retired from the United States Post Office after putting in over thirty years, as a clerk at the Worthington Branch, and working for a short time at the Twin Rivers processing center. Prior to working for the post office, Kim attended The Ohio State University, during the Woody Hayes era. The optimistic sister truly loved her family, friends, and pets.
Kim's family will be receiving friends on Friday, March 26, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Rd, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a Funeral Service with Father Anthony Davis on Saturday 10 am at Schoedinger North, with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. The funeral will be streamed live through Schoedinger's website. Guests are respectfully asked to wear a mask and attendance will be monitored to ensure safety for everyone attending. The family plans on celebrating her life on what would have been her 62nd birthday.
