Kristen Bergund

Kristen Aiken Bergund, 34, passed away on June 20, 2018. She was born in Columbus, OH and grew up in Gahanna. She graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 2002 and went on to Capital University. She worked at United Health Care. She was very active with her friends, family, and in the community, volunteering with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Kristen is preceded in death by her grandparents, Helen and Clifford Aiken; and her cousin, Elizabeth Ball. She will be greatly missed by her husband, John and their cat, Flash; parents, Cliff (Erin) and Janet Aiken; siblings, Katie Zachrich and David Aiken; grandparents, Jan (Barb) and Mona Wasson; parents-in-law, John and Darlene Bergund; brothers-in-law, Jason (Bev) and James (Sarah); uncles, Fred (Madona) and Jim (Kristi) Wasson; aunts, Kathy Leonard and Karen (Stephen) Ball; cousins, Mark, Zach, Walker, and Susie Wasson, Rachael (Josh) McClellan, Judah (Jessica) Ball, Joe (Meagan), AnnaMary, and Andy Leonard. Donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society 2215 Citygate Dr., Columbus, OH 43219 or Nationwide Children's Hospital Foundation 700 Children's Dr., Columbus, OH 43205. Arrangements were entrusted in SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where a visitation will be held on Thursday June 28, 2018 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held at Stonybrook United Methodist Church 485 Cherry Bottom Road, Gahanna, OH 43230 at 10am on Friday June 29, 2018 followed by interment at Mifflin Cemetery.
