
Kristin was born 19 February 1945 in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Clarence A. Lindholm and Irma Bentz Lindholm. She attended Columbus public schools and graduated from Capital University in 1967.
She devoted her career to the education of children. She was an elementary school teacher in the Columbus School System, preschool teacher at Westgate Friends Preschool in Columbus, morning teacher and afternoon Principal at Holy Family in Richmond, IN, teacher in Grantham Schools near Goldsboro, NC, and later director of Westgate Friends Preschool. In later years she ran an educational daycare from her home. Many parents and children in her care became lifelong friends. She was always a supportive and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She cared deeply about social justice issues and had many online friends.
She married Edward Slaughter in Columbus in 1969.
Survivors include sons Raymond and John-David Slaughter, daughter Elisabeth Lane (Dave), and grandson Chiron David Lane, all of Columbus, and brother John A Lindholm of Moline, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Edward Slaughter.
